Healthy Eating Interprofessional Education Program at University of British Columbia

Projects and Programs

SuperChefs works in partnership with UBC Dentistry and UBC Land & Food Systems/Dietetics to create nutrition resources for health care professionals. Dietetic and Dental Hygiene students are involved in the collaborative project that results in the production articles and recipes for Chop Chop magazine, a quarterly magazine filled with nutritious, great tasting, ethnically diverse, and inexpensive recipes as well as food facts, games, puzzles and interviews with healthy heroes.

These resources are also distributed to other healthcare professionals for use in doctor’s offices and community outreach programs. Students  also be cook with children and professional chefs to prepare some of the recipes to gain an appreciation of  nutrition, healthy eating, and oral health.
